1908 August 28th: Disastrous and fatal fire in dental premises of Mr A. L. Zouch, Tancred Street. Mr Zouch's mother died next day after jumping from an upstairs window
1921 June 7th: "Club House" Boarding House, Tancred Street, destroyed by fire Fifteen fire calls for year
1923 June 15th: The Shand Mason 22-man manual fire-pump was taken from the Fire Station on Friday, June 15th, after 47 years of good service. The manual was sold by the Ashburton Borough Council to Mr J. Cairns, of Flemington, for the sum of ₤25 Model T Ford commissioned as No.1 fire engine.
1924 October 26th: Firemen's Church Parade at St. Stephen's Church. Twenty-two fire calls for year.
1925 March 4th: Baptist Tabernacle in Peter Street destroyed by fire. Twenty-five fire calls for year.
1926 Mr T. Gibson received medal for 25 years' service at Fire Brigade Association Conference at Dunedin. Fifteen fire calls for year. Captain T. P. Barber at E B.A. Conference at Gisborne. W. E. Doleman received second gold medal for 50 years' service. Dr Ryeburn appointed Honorary Surgeon of Brigade.
1928 H. Hefford delegate to EB.A. Plymouth. Three fire calls for year. Conference at New Plymouth
1929 J. Donn appointed Judge at U.F.B.A. Competitions at Hokitika. P. Lesie received gold star at Jubilee U.F.B.A. Conference at Hokitika. February 29th: Foreman H. Hefford one of the Judges at U.F.B.A. Competitions at Whangarei. Eighteen fire calls for year
1931 Installation of a circuit of alarm bells in the homes of firemen.
1932 December 12th: T. W. Phaup's Stocking Factory destroyed by fire.
1935 February 20th: Prince Albert Boarding House fire
1936 Deputy Superintendent H. Hefford President of Canterbury Provincial Fire Brigades Association.
1937 August 19th: Majestic Theatre fire. Deputy Superintendent H. Hefford elected President for second term
1938 Ashburton Competition team won the C.P.F.B.A Championship Shield.
1939 May 18th: Seven cars destroyed in shed fire at rear of the Commercial Hotel. Forty-six calls for year.
1940 May 13th: Ford V8 appliance made its first appearance in public in Centennial procession through the streets of Ashburton. November 8th: Messrs M. C. Segers Ltd., Tyre Repair and Sales Co. Ltd., fire.
1941 February 12th: Grandstand fire at Racecourse.
March: Ashburton Auxiliary Fire Service E.P.S. formed. Lieutenant S. Solway elected President of C. P. F. B.A.
1944 May 15th: The Brigade formed a guard of honour as the old No.2 (Model T) which had seen 20 years of service, was driven out and the new tender (Chevrolet) driven into its place.
1945 Deputy Superintendent Hickey was delegate at U.EB.A. Conference at Westport. Ashburton team won C.P. EB.A. Shield at Competitions held at Temuka.
1949 June 12th: Midland Dairy Co. Ltd. fire. Deputy Superintendent R. R. Kerr elected President of Canterbury Provincial Fire Brigade Association. Seventy fire calls for year.
1953 September 9th: 30,000 bales of linseed straw belonging to Dominion Industries Ltd. at the old Glassworks destroyed by fire. August 30th: Fire in single man's apartment on the first floor of the "Guardian" Office. An 82-year-old pensioner died from burns suffered in this fire plantation on the property of Mr S. Townley. This fire spread to a 90-acre block planted in cocksfoot, occupied by Messrs K. and D. Read, destroying 60 acres before it was brought under control.
1954 Mr R. R. Kerr elected Chief Fire Officer.
1955 Deputy Chief Fire Officer Preddy was elected to the Executive of C. P. E B. A.
1956 April: A sum of 5,000 pounds was placed on estimates to purchase a Dennis F8 Fire Appliance.
